Masterclass - Be a parrillero (local grill master) for a day.
This experience is much about culture as it is about food
Step into the private barbecue grill of a local parrillero’s home and learn about an argentinean family’s traditional heritage: asado (argentine barbecue).
We will show you how to prepare this traditional delicacy from scratch. We will start by walking to our neighbourhood’s butcher to choose the daily available beef. Then we will visit our home grill and turn on the fire together. We’ll cook the different types of beef we’ve chosen, and prepare the side dishes and classic sauces that can never miss: criolla sauce and chimichurri.
After this, we will enjoy our own homemade food, a classic asado feast.

About The Host
I’ve been doing asado since my childhood. I’ve learnt from my uncle Alfredo, who used to prepare big asados and invited our whole family to his house. Since my parents never cooked, I was always helping my uncle next to the grill, to acquire his knowledge. I want to transmit this passion to the whole world, because asado is so much more than beef, it’s a tradition that speaks about Argentine culture.
I have experience working in a boutique hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires, in which I have been the manager of its restaurant.

The Place & Amenities
The experience will take place at the terrace of my apartment located in Palermo, which is next to the Rural, a famous landmark in Buenos Aires. We’ll seat at a table next to the grill, while we enjoy the fresh air and great sightseeing (the place is at the 14th floor, which is accessible through an elevator).
